Welcome to Scribbling Bookworm! My name is Stephanie, and as you have probably already guessed, I love reading and writing. Before I get into my passions a little deeper, I’ll share a little bit about myself first. I’m 25 and just finished my first year of medical school. It was a crazy year, but I loved it! Just like reading and writing are ingrained in my being, so is medicine. I apologize in advance for any long absences. I’m going to try my best to keep on top of things!
I’m going to share a little secret with all of you. This could be a bit of a shock to those of you who know me well. I hated reading pretty much up until the second grade. Crazy right? I know. I can’t quite believe it myself, but it’s true. In first grade, we had to read 100 books, and, when we did, we got to stand on our desks and be congratulated. I was the last in my class to get to climb up on my desk, and I’m pretty sure it happened in the final couple weeks of the school year. Now I practically inhale books. I really can’t get enough of them. Let me give you a picture of how much I love to read. I have two bookshelves in my room packed with books and stacks of them on the floor that would fill another bookshelf entirely. These do not include the books I have boxed from my childhood and teen years. I am often found going to the library and coming home with stacks of books, I can’t wait to devour. I love to frequent Amazon and Goodreads, searching for something interesting to read. I can not get enough of books and probably never will.
Now I have been writing ever since I can really remember. Those early stories usually involved princesses and twins who would have to save the day so they could marry the handsome prince. There were orphans and babies left on doorsteps, kisses that healed ugly deformities and magic. Over the years I have written so many different things. I have a whole folder on my computer filled with stories I’ve started. Writing is so a part of me that I’m not sure what I’d do with out it. Although I wish I had more time to do it!
Anyway, if you’ve made it to the end of this page, congrats! And thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit about me! I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you better. Feel free to leave tons of comments, ask questions, and give suggestions! I’m always looking for more fellow writers and readers! I hope you enjoy reading my posts and have a great day!
